Digital Bicycle Brake
28.02.2018 | Research
The aim of the project Digital Bicycle Brake is to apply the concept Digital Twin for monitoring the brake system of a bicycle.
The brake system should be modelled according to the requirements of the sub-parts (e.g. mathematical model for wearing of brake pads, three-dimensional model of brake disc). The digital twin is supplied with data originating from two different data sources: sensing (external sensors) and tracking (GPS-data). Both data sources will be evaluated for their informational content regarding the quality of the virtual representation of the object behaviour. Finally, the scalability of the methodology will be evaluated.
