In this Hackathon-style 3 day- course, you will learn
• About the potential of Smart- and Fab-Regions – e.g. regarding sustainability, resilience, digital fabrication, new businesses models etc.
• To evaluate requirements of a real client and to transfer this in a project structure
• Applying adequate design-thinking methods including prototyping and testing
• About the empowerment of cross-functional teams
• About the steep learning curve by building prototypes, combined with the basic operation of digital tools in a state-of-the-art rapid prototyping lab
• About Start-Up Thinking

Voraussetzungen der Lehrveranstaltung
• No pre-knowledge is needed besides a laptop
• Interest in the topic of smart/fab-regions (especially sustainability, circular economy, new business models) as well as prototyping and testing
• Teamwork, creativity and motivation
• Willing to travel 2 or 3 times to Wattens (train, car) – the course will be held in the Fablab of Fablab.Tirol, Werkstätte Wattens
