Learning outcomes of the courses/module

The course is designed for students who have studied
German for about one semester and leads up to Level
A1.2 according to the Common European Framework of
Reference for Languages. If you have studied German in
school or at university for more than one year, this course
will probably not suit your needs.

Prerequisites for the course

Accredited students of University of Applied Sciences of
Kufstein and International Program with previous
knowledge of German

Course content

Students will practice and expand their listening, speaking,
reading, and writing skills.
Topics: daily routines, work life, hobbies, eating out, talking
about the past
Grammar structures: cases (nominative, accusative),
modal verbs, tenses (present tense, past tense), pronouns

Recommended specialist literature

A bilingual dictionary is highly recommended.

Assessment methods and criteria

Attendance, participation, assignments, short
vocabulary/grammar tests at beginning of each lesson,
final test

All four skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening) will be
practiced in various constellations – exercises, group work,
