Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any prior technical knowledge?

No, the course teaches all relevant construction and building technology skills. No special prior knowledge is required. The focus is on communication and organizational skills as well as business management thinking. This course is particularly suitable for graduates from business and communication-oriented schools who want to successfully implement their vision in the real estate sector.

What is the job market like in Real Estate and Facility Management?

The facility and building management market in particular is experiencing very high demand and a major shortage of skilled workers. Increasing environmental and climate requirements as well as the need for new working environments and digitalization offer very good and long-term career opportunities.

What is special about this degree program?

The integrated semester abroad and the associated international expertise are unique. Compared to other university degree courses, the degree program offers a broad spectrum of skills in all aspects of real estate, including communication, social skills, business and technology. A high level of practical relevance and contact with company networks from the first semester onwards offer excellent job opportunities in a future-proof field of activity.

Is the degree program practice-oriented?

Yes, excursions, projects and fireside chats create a practical learning environment. Students make contact with start-ups and companies in order to build and maintain their networks.

Do I have to work while studying?

No, there is no obligation to work or to be active in the industry. The course offers you the opportunity for further development, even if you are working in another profession or are not currently working.

Unlike a dual study program, there is no binding contract with a company. Many students also use the course during parental leave or for professional reorientation.

What is the online share?

We offer our students the opportunity to experience the content in the community with other students on the campus of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol. This leads to an optimal learning environment and successful studies. Online and self-study elements specially developed for the course complement this offer, allowing students to deepen their knowledge and consolidate their skills.

Can I have previous knowledge recognized or credited?

Basic study content from a real estate management education can be recognized. The same applies to previous business knowledge from school and vocational training. The internship in the 6th semester can be recognized if you have a relevant professional activity during your studies. Applications for recognition or credit transfer are always approved one semester before the respective module.

Theoretical principles help in everyday life. Above all, however, the lecturers inspired me with contributions from real business life.
