The students are able to: • identify and analyze requirements for a sustainable building in all planning phases • compare different national and international certification systems and methods of certification • describe the process of certification systems • prepare life cycle analyses and life cycle assessments • explain ecological, economic and socio-cultural criteria of sustainability in relation to buildings

• Requirements for a sustainable building in the planning and construction process as well as in operation • Life cycle analyses • National and international certification systems • Ecological, economic and socio-cultural sustainability criteria in relation to buildings (e.g. flexibility and conversion capability)
