In January, outdoor enthusiasts gathered at BAU! Kufstein for an unforgettable evening of adventure and cinematic excitement. POWDER & PEAKS – The Kufstein Movie Night brought together a vibrant audience to celebrate the thrill of the outdoors through breathtaking films.
The POWDER & PEAKS – The Kufstein Movie Night was an evening dedicated to outdoor adventure films. The event provided an opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts to come together, enjoy breathtaking films and engage in discussions about their passion for mountain sports. A unique aspect of the night was the inclusion of a video from the main sponsor HEAD and a keynote and trailer from Protect Our Winters (POW), a nonprofit organization that focuses on law reform for environmental issues, as well as a tombola that raised funds for POW.
The movie night commenced at 7 p.m., immersing attendees in a series of awe-inspiring films showcasing skiing, snowboarding, climbing, hiking, and other outdoor pursuits. The carefully curated selection of films captured the essence of mountain sports, adventure and the beauty of nature.
Screening of individual films
The event was structured around film screenings, where attendees could watch curated outdoor adventure films. Additionally, there was an opportunity for individuals to submit their own short adventure films, which were showcased during the event. The afterparty with DJ Andiamo added to the experience, making the event engaging for outdoor enthusiasts, filmmakers, and environmental advocates.
The POWDER & PEAKS – Kufstein Movie Night was a huge success, with a strong turnout and enthusiastic participation. The overwhelming response from the audience showed the enthusiasm for outdoor films and community engagement. The support from sponsors and partners played a key role in the event’s success and its impact on the outdoor community was evident through the positive feedback.

Organization and sponsoring
The project was organized by students from the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein who participate in the fulltime master’s program Sport, Culture & Event Management and were supervised by Mrs. Florina Eller. Additional key contributors included HEAD, Sparkasse Kufstein, ÖH Kufstein, Bergerlebnis Tirol, SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental, Miller United Optics, Innsbrucker Nordkettenbahnen, Alpenverein Kufstein, TR Eventtechnik, Sportler Kufstein and Inn-Bikes, which contributed to the tombola donations.
