Meet & Match 2024 once again brought together employers from the region and students this year.

On March 15, 2024, a total of 650 students, alumni, and pupils met 41 exhibitors at the career fair Meet & Match powered by SPAR on the campus of the University of Applied Sciences (FH) Kufstein Tirol.

The annual cross-industry career fair at FH Kufstein Tirol brings students and graduates into contact with regional and international companies. In an informal atmosphere, visitors had the opportunity to engage in a personal exchange with potential employers and gain an overview of various professional fields. In addition to technical discussions with well-known companies, informative insights, and an overview of open (internship) positions, interested parties were able to have their portraits taken during an application photo shoot. The dm styling lounge set up especially for the occasion provided the perfect look for the camera. The organization team provided snacks and drinks for the exhibitors and guests.

Regional and (inter)national exhibitors

As strong regional partners, the two main sponsors, SPAR and Sparkasse Kufstein, were once again represented this year with an exhibition stand in the ballroom of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol and provided information about career opportunities in their companies. In view of the growing shortage of skilled workers, Generation Z can increasingly choose their employers in some professional groups. These, in turn, are trying to understand and implement the needs of the next generations. Not only FH Kufstein Tirol Career Service partner companies such as STIHL Tirol GmbH, Fritz EGGER Holzwerkstoffe GmbH & Co KG, Liebherr GmbH and Porsche Holding GmbH took advantage of the opportunity at Meet & Match 2024, but also companies that were taking part for the first time, such as the transport technology company Swarco AG and the pharmaceutical manufacturer Sandoz GmbH. They were joined by students and graduates from the 24 Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol as well as the graduating classes from secondary schools in Kufstein.

Both visitors and exhibitors benefited from the open culture of conversation and the thematic interest. “I’m looking for an internship for my sixth semester and have had some promising conversations,” said one student. “The event is a great opportunity to talk to different companies and make direct contacts. I can only recommend that anyone and everyone take advantage of this opportunity.” One of the HR developers present was also impressed by Meet & Match: “We’ve been attending the careers fair for several years now and are always impressed by the professional organization and implementation. It is also the ideal opportunity for us to speak personally with students who have specialized in a field relevant to us.

Attractive pre-opening program for students and alumni

In the run-up to Meet & Match 2024, students and graduates of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol were able to take part in a free pre-opening program. This included interview training for job interviews with Benjamin Schlesinger, HR Officer at Liebherr-Werk Telfs GmbH, tips and tricks on the topic of salary negotiations from and with Thomas Wieser, HR Manager at EGGER St. Johann in Tirol and Wörgl, as well as the CV check by Aristo, where interested parties could have their CVs reviewed. On the FH Kufstein Tirol career platform, students can also view current job advertisements from all exhibitors at any time and independently of the career fair and apply for suitable offers.
