Selection of a partner university

A special procedure developed by the FH Kufstein Tirol allows you to get a study place abroad. The International Relations Office (IRO) informs the degree programs about the available places. You indicate your preferred destinations, and the degree programs determine who will receive which place. After the process is completed, the IRO receives a list of selected students and partner universities.

Notification of Students

At the beginning of the summer semester, the IRO nominates you centrally to the partner university. The partner university receives your contact details and the planned duration of your stay. You will be notified automatically by email, but you may not contact the partner university until after you have been nominated.

After receiving the nomination, you must independently contact your partner university for information about the application process, semester dates, courses, accommodation, etc. You must apply independently by the registration deadline.

After being nominated by the IRO and applying to the partner university, you will normally receive a Letter of Acceptance and information material.

Learning Agreement

The Learning Agreement is the study contract between students, the sending institution and the receiving institution. Before the start of your stay abroad, you must enter your chosen courses in the Learning Agreement and have them approved and signed by the Director of Studies. You and the partner university must also sign the document before it is reviewed by the International Relations Office.

If you realize on site that your courses are not taking place or that changes are necessary, use the second page of the Learning Agreement (Changes to the Learning Agreement). After such changes, the Learning Agreement is signed by you and the partner university and sent immediately to the Director of Studies at the FH Kufstein Tirol for recognition. The Director of Studies checks the changes and contacts you. During your stay at a foreign partner university, you must take at least 30 ECTS credits (exception: IBS 52 ECTS).

Students who are planning an Erasmus+ stay and receive an Erasmus+ grant must process the Learning Agreement via the OLA (Online Learning Agreement) platform. Detailed information is available from the International Relations Office when applying for an Erasmus+ grant.
