Have you written an outstanding thesis dealing with a complex issue in the field of banking and finance?
Then take your chance and enter the Banking Award.
The Sparkasse Kufstein, in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol, is once again offering the “Banking Award”. The prize is aimed at students at the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences who are writing their bachelor's and/or master's thesis in the field of banking and finance.
Announcement
Only bachelor's and master's theses that have been submitted for review in the last calendar year (beginning with September 30, 2022) by September 30, 2023 at the latest and have been assessed as “Excellent” or “Good” will be considered.

Award ceremony
The official presentation of the certificates of participation and cash prizes to the winners will take place in November 2023. The exact date will be announced separately.
Possible topics
- Recent developments in banking, including marketing, customer communication,
human resources management, sales or digitization - Financing of SMEs, including the rise of modern financing instruments
- (Credit) risk management for credit institutions and companies
- Money and capital markets (instruments) incl. commodities and currencies
- Management accounting for SMEs
- Family businesses (e.g. company succession, digitalization, internationalization, etc.)
Further topics may be chosen, provided that a reasonable connection to banking and finance can be established. The jury will decide whether the question is suitable.
The jury
All submitted works are examined by a jury of experts and assessed according to a standardized scheme. The jury consists of four members from the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol and the Kufstein branch of the Sparkasse savings bank. Participants will be informed of the results afterwards.
