RUNNING FOR EVERYONE WHO CAN'T!
At the Wings for Life World Run 2025, people all over the world will be running for a good cause – and Innsbruck will be right in the thick of it!
In collaboration with the running community Early Birds Innsbruck, dedicated students from the degree program Sports, Culture & Event Management at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol are organizing an official app run in the idyllic Hofgarten park as part of a practical project.
The special Part of this event?
There is no traditional finish line. Instead, a virtual Catcher Car starts 30 minutes after the starting gun, gradually catching up with all participants. The goal is to run – or roll – as far as possible before being caught.
ARE YOU INTERESTED?
Anyone can take part – whether you are a wheelchair user, a professional or amateur runner, or a complete novice. There are two barrier-free routes (each 1.2 km) to choose from: a closed road route for wheelchair users and a circuit around and through the Hofgarten park for runners.
Meeting time: 12:00
Get-together
After the run, participants can look forward to a relaxed get-together with music, drinks, snacks and a recovery zone. It's the perfect opportunity to celebrate together and exchange stories.
100% of the entry fees go directly to spinal cord research, with the aim of making spinal paralysis cureable.
