The IRO team together with two visitors to the exhibition as part of the #ErasmusDays at the FH Kufstein Tirol.
In mid-October, the #ErasmusDays at the FH Kufstein Tirol were dedicated to cultural diversity and European mobility. The International Relations Office (IRO) presented the numerous Erasmus+ funding opportunities.
From October 14 to 19, 2024, the FH Kufstein Tirol celebrated the cultural diversity of the Erasmus programs as part of the #ErasmusDays. From October 15, the International Relations Office (IRO) presented an exhibition and an information stand to introduce the numerous funding opportunities of the Erasmus+ program in the higher education sector. Information about the Erasmus+ program as well as facts and figures about Erasmus+ student mobility were presented on pinboards. A digital screen invited visitors to discover stories and experiences from different countries that were submitted as part of the Erasmus+ Story competition. Interested parties were able to find out more about the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ program and the semester abroad, which is an integral part of the full-time bachelor's program at the FH Kufstein Tirol, from IRO members of staff / employees. There was also an exciting Erasmus+ quiz and photo frames for funny pictures. All participants were able to enjoy the Erasmus giveaways, which were available for free.
The exhibition was presented at KUBI (Kufstein Library for Science and Leisure) from October 16 to 19.
EXCITING INSIGHTS
Statistics presented in a clear and concise way showed that in the current and in the past winter semester, more than 100 students at the FH Kufstein Tirol were supported with Erasmus+ scholarships of around 2000 euros per semester. Particularly popular destinations were France, Spain, Finland and the Netherlands. Sustainability and digitalization were also given high priority: about 30% of mobilities were undertaken using environmentally friendly means of transportation, and about 80% of learning agreements were completed digitally in accordance with the “Erasmus Without Paper” principle.
Each semester, the FH Kufstein Tirol welcomes an average of 60 international students from Erasmus+ program countries, who enrich campus life.
Those who read the Erasmus+ statistics carefully had a good chance of passing the Erasmus+ quiz.
THE ERASMUS+ QUIZ
The Erasmus+ Quiz was another highlight, presenting participants with exciting multiple-choice questions about the Erasmus+ program. In addition to historical facts – such as the founding of the program in 1987 and its naming after Desiderius Erasmus – participants were able to test their knowledge of the funding requirements, such as the minimum number of 3 ECTS per month or the maximum funding period of 12 months. Some questions turned out to be tricky: It was challenging to remember that “EWP” stands for “Erasmus Without Paper” and not “Erasmus With Passion”.
