The puppet theater with the thematically appropriate play Der Buchstabenklau was one of the highlights of this year's kubi children's literature festival.

The kubi children's literature festival - a practical project of the Sport, Culture & Event Management degree program - once again inspired many young readers this year. This time, the children acted as little detectives and had to solve numerous puzzles about the kubi.

The kubi children's literature festival took place for the fourth time at the kubi - Kufstein Library for Science & Leisure. Under the motto On hot pursuit, the children were introduced to the topic of reading and the library in a playful way. The children had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of detectives and solve exciting puzzles. There was also a craft station and reading opportunities that perfectly matched the theme.

On Friday, the first day of the festival, around 120 children from Kufstein primary schools and the Hans Henzinger School were on site to complete the stations. The following day, 100 children and their families visited the festival.

PUPPET THEATER AS A SPECIAL HIGHLIGHT

Together with the organization team, students from the Kufstein University and numerous volunteers, the young guests aged six to twelve were able to work their way through the stations and familiarize themselves with the topic of detectives. A special highlight on Saturday was the puppet theater Der Buchstabenklau, staged by Priska Färbinger. In addition to the interactive stations, there was also a raffle with lots of great prizes, which was made possible thanks to numerous sponsors.

The aim of the event, to bring children closer to the kubi and show them how exciting reading can be, was more than achieved during the two days of the festival. “We are delighted that the festival was so well received by the children. The hard work we put into the project is absolutely paying off,” said Sofia Kalcher, project manager of this year's kubi children's literature festival. “It was fantastic to see how much fun the children had at the stations and how good the theme was received. We are grateful for this great opportunity.” The team at kubi - Kufstein Library for Science & Leisure is already looking forward to next year's children's literature festival and cordially invites all children, families and kubi fans to be part of the event again.
