The International Business School of the Kufstein University has revised the curriculum for General Management and is the first provider of the new program.

The International Business School of the Kufstein University has adapted its continuing education programs in accordance with the amendment to the Austrian Universities of Applied Sciences Act.

From the summer semester 2025, the International Business School at Kufstein University will once again be offering the General Management Master of Business Administration (MBA). The program has been revised due to a legal reform and will again be open to interested parties without a school-leaving certificate or bachelor's degree from next year. With sufficient professional experience, a degree program is therefore also possible without a university entrance qualification. In future, 120 ECTS will be required to obtain the Master's degree. This is a significant gain in terms of additional content and practical knowledge, which clearly outweighs the small additional cost. Another new feature is the Artificial Intelligence module, which integrates the latest trends in management - essential for future managers. There is also an even stronger focus on interdisciplinary project studies. In order to demonstrate their project management and problem-solving skills, participants apply the content from the basic management modules directly in their own company.

FORWARD-LOOKING CURRICULUM

“The legal reform and the new MBA program, which is adapted to the needs of the economy, are a great relief for professionals who want to open up new career opportunities through further education,” says Academic Director Prof. (FH) Dr. Kristina Kampfer. “We have worked intensively on the new curriculum to enable a degree away from the traditional academic route and are delighted to be one of the first providers to have achieved this.” The General Management MBA will continue to be run as a professional continuing education course with lecture times on Fridays and Saturdays, with increased attendance times emphasizing the network character and condensing the course content.

The International Business School at Kufstein University offers the Master of Business Administration General Management (MBA) degree program with two specializations: Leadership, Automotive and Marketing 4.0. In the part-time General Management MBA Focus Leadership, participants receive state-of-the-art management knowledge in four semesters, which is taught by experts from science and practice. The qualification profile is made up of all relevant business-related disciplines and aims to provide a holistic skills portfolio for a modern manager with vision. The part-time General Management MBA program with a focus on Marketing 4.0 helps participants recognize communicative and technical management challenges more quickly, learn important soft skills in the field of marketing and are able to identify trends in marketing and communication. In addition to profound general management knowledge, the high requirements of the automotive industry in the 21st century demand above all the ability to apply this knowledge effectively in day-to-day work. The industry focus of the General Management MBA Focus Automotive & Mobility was developed on this basis. In four semesters, the program imparts state-of-the-art management knowledge with a unique automotive industry focus.
