The results of the CHE university rankings confirm the personal orientation of the FH Kufstein Tirol with outstanding digital teaching elements.

In the current assessment of the Business Administration study programs, the University of Applied Sciences (FH) Kufstein Tirol scores particularly well in the areas of study organization, infrastructure, and digital teaching elements.

The 2023 University Ranking by the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE) includes student evaluations of study conditions at their university as well as facts about study, teaching, and research. The survey of current students feeds into the ZEIT Study Guide and the digital study portal HeyStudium (zeit.de), providing prospective students with valuable insights, background information, tips, and checklists from firsthand experience, enabling them to make informed decisions. This year, the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol achieved encouraging results in various categories.

Personal and individual

FH Kufstein Tirol places great emphasis on personal contact with students and individual care, reflected in its study organization. Hence, it's no surprise that Bachelor's programs in International Business Studies, both full-time and part-time, as well as in Business Management (now: Leadership & Business Management) , stand out positively in the category "Appropriate number of participants in courses." Small group sizes adapted to the subject matter, with a maximum of 55 students depending on the event type, promote a conducive learning environment and offer space for intense exchange and a valuable dialogue culture. The close contact with fellow students and lecturers ensures a familial setting. In the category "Access to courses," the business studies programs also placed well.

Modern campus with digital learning

According to the ranking, respondents appreciate the modern and cosmopolitan campus in Kufstein and its excellent infrastructure. Noteworthy categories include the "Quality of WLAN coverage on the campus," "technical equipment of the rooms," and the general condition of the rooms. FH Kufstein Tirol primarily employs blended learning models with virtual seminar rooms and compact presence units, particularly in part-time degree programs, thereby achieving an above-average position in the category "Flexibility of study through the use of digital teaching elements." The in-house Media Lab enables high-quality digital learning elements and supports learning through multimedia tools.

"We are proud to have received such positive evaluations from our students again in this year's survey," says Prof. (FH) Dr. Thomas Madritsch, Managing Director of FH Kufstein Tirol. "This confirms that our mission to promote our students with a focus on practical academic and professional training while providing personal and individual care is the right approach. Many suggestions from the last survey in 2020 have already been implemented, and we now see the positive results of our efforts."

University Ranking with a Focus on Business Degree Programs

The CHE University Ranking was published on May 09, 2023, in the ZEIT Study Guide 2023/24 and on the new digital portal HeyStudium (zeit.de). The ranking of universities from German-speaking countries is subject-specific and multi-perspective, meaning that not the entire university is assessed, but individual departments based on several data sources. The CHE Ranking only examines a portion of the included courses of study, so FH Kufstein Tirol's participation for the relevant degree programs occurs only every three years.

In the current CHE University Ranking, student evaluations from the following Bachelor's programs of FH Kufstein Tirol were included:

Bachelor of Arts in Business
