Three new master's programs at the FH Kufstein Tirol

The three new master's programs at the FH Kufstein Tirol train graduates to become specialists in their respective fields of specialisation.
In the winter semester of 2025/26, the three new full-time English-language Master's programs in Energy & Sustainability Management*, Data Science & Intelligent Analytics*, and Smart Products & AI-driven Development* will start at the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences.
The range of courses offered by the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein is constantly being updated and expanded – and this will continue in the winter semester 2025/26. From the fall of next year, three new or revised master's programs will be available as full-time degree programs taught in English: Energy & Sustainability Management*, Data Science & Intelligent Analytics*, and Smart Products & AI-driven Development*. Study trips lasting several days and practical projects with (inter)national companies are an integral part of the curriculum in all three degree programs. “The four-semester master's programs aim to train our students to become specialists in their respective fields of specialisation,” said Prof. (FH) Dr. Thomas Madritsch, CEO Managing Director of FH Kufstein Tirol. “With our expanded study options, we are equipping our students with the skills / competencies they need to actively shape technological and social change. By offering courses in English, we want to attract even more international students who will enrich our student body with their perspectives and experiences.”
Energy & Sustainability Management*
The master's program in Energy & Sustainability Management* focuses on the international and European perspective of energy and sustainability management. The Kufstein University of Applied Sciences offers students in-depth knowledge to develop innovative solutions for sustainability, environmental protection and climate protection. Key areas such as sustainability assessment, strategic management and AI-driven data analysis are covered intensively. The master's thesis promotes application-oriented research. Through business evenings and projects, students expand their networks. The program strengthens core skills and promotes a holistic view of sustainability, which is essential for strategic planning in companies, public institutions, NGOs or personal start-ups.
Data Science & Intelligent Analytics*
The Master in Data Science & Intelligent Analytics* combines computer science, statistics, mathematics and related application disciplines. Graduates acquire skills / competencies in data analysis, technology, business applications and the development of innovative solutions fit for practical application. Using practice-oriented data science labs and project-based learning, the FH Kufstein Tirol ensures a high level of professional depth and practical relevance. The program addresses the entire value chain from raw data to cross-sectional functions and economic success.
Smart Products & AI-driven Development*
The Master's program in Smart Products & AI-driven Development* combines technical and economic knowledge for the development of intelligent, networked products. The focus is on the practical application of state-of-the-art AI methods such as generative language models, edge computing and machine learning for system analysis and prediction. All classes are taught in English, preparing students for international careers and offering a strong practical orientation through project-based learning. Access to advanced technologies, such as additive manufacturing, fosters a hands-on mentality. Interdisciplinary collaboration broadens horizons and promotes expertise in integrating AI into product development processes and creating intelligent, service-oriented solutions.
