Students on the bachelor's degree program in Marketing & Communication Management at Kufstein University have developed a sophisticated social media concept in close cooperation with Montanwerke Brixlegg. The aim was to strengthen and expand the employer brand.

Montanwerke Brixlegg AG is a renowned company in the processing of copper. With an impressive history of over 500 years, the company stands for tradition, excellence and continuous innovation. In a creative process, the students designed a social media concept in the form of a manual that aims to strengthen the employer brand of Montanwerke Brixlegg. The focus is on the uniqueness of the corporate culture and the diverse career opportunities. The strategic focus of the concept is on the platforms Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and Facebook.

Contents of the Social Media Manual

The developed social media manual contains various analyses that focus on the relevant platforms, the competitors and the target groups of Montanwerke. In addition, various content strategies and their implementation are formulated. “This offers Montanwerke a transparent way of presenting specific subject areas such as apprentices, the company itself and work,” said Tara Thurnher, project manager of the practical project group. Finally, the concept provides tips and recommendations regarding the online community and maintenance of the individual social media channels.

FURTHER PROCEDURE

Montanwerke plans to gradually implement the concept on its official social media platforms over the coming weeks. “This initiative not only represents a step in the direction of functioning social media channels and therefore effective employer branding, but also a way of reaching the younger generation as an established company,” said Christina Islitzer, Head of Human Resources at Montanwerke Brixlegg.
