The eagerly awaited eCup Tirol 2024, powered by Festung Kufstein, took place at Kufstein University at the end of January 2024. Organized by a motivated group of students from the Master's degree course in Sports, Culture and Event Management, ten teams from Kufstein, Vorarlberg and the Innsbruck area took part in the Mario Kart Charity Tournament. The event was both a showcase for sporting excellence and a symbol of community, social awareness and ecological responsibility.
FOCUS ON SUSTAINABILITY
One member of the winning team from the Innsbruck area shared his enthusiasm: “It was an incredible experience to be here at the eCup Tirol. I really like the competition, the atmosphere and the idea that we are all doing something good together.” It wasn't just the selection of regional delicacies and a raffle as a side event that enriched the event. The sustainable planning and implementation was also remarkable. The event was awarded Green Event certification, underlining the organizing team's commitment to environmental friendliness and sustainability. The eCup Tirol 2024 impressively demonstrated how the combination of student engagement, sporting competition, social commitment and sustainable event planning can strengthen a community and lead to a successful event.
