Project Objectives

  • Improved access of the manufacturing industry to smart and green technologies from SMEs and start-ups
  • Faster and more efficient connection between the manufacturing industry and SMEs/start-ups
  • Development of innovative products and services over a period of 3 years
  • Creation of new and sustainable value creation models
  • Promotion of supra-regional knowledge transfer

Desired Outcomes

The project partners are developing regional action plans that identify smarter and greener supply and value chains. Training programs and tailored support will demonstrate how collaboration can create added value for all parties in practice. For example, a company based in Tyrol can benefit from solution providers in Central Europe to make its own value chain more digital and greener. At the same time, the project and platform offer start-ups, demo and test centers, and green and digital experts the opportunity to expand their network and form new partnerships with companies in Central Europe.

Work packages of the project

  • Work package 1: Design, test and publication of a user acceptance model to assess the willingness and possibilities of companies to make the processes of the value chain greener and more digital.
  • Work package 2: Transnational GREENE 4.0 Open Knowledge HUB for digital transformation to connect solution providers and solution seekers and to transfer knowledge.
  • Work package 3: GREENE 4.0 Innovation Platform for testing the offers and solutions in the B2GreenHub in 7 predefined sectors.
  • Work package 4: GREENE 4.0 Policy Learning Center to strengthen regional innovation ecosystems by better understanding, applying and further developing the platform and its tools.
