At the Medientage in Munich, students experienced the latest technology and learned about the topics currently occupying the industry.

“Welcome to the Medientage München!” was the message for 32 students in the bachelor's degree program in Marketing and Communication Management at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol. At the trade fair, they immersed themselves in the latest technologies and gained exciting insights into current topics and opinions from the media industry.

From October 23 to 25, 2024, Medientage München once again thrilled more than 300 speakers and over 5,000 participants at the House of Communication. The event, an initiative of Medien.Bayern GmbH, attracted experts, interested parties and our students. As part of the Corporate Communication & PR course, students were given the opportunity to spend a day of their choice at Europe's largest specialist conference on the topic of media, communication and marketing.

DISCOVER THE MEDIA WORLD

The topics discussed at the Medientage ranged from serious discussions about how to curb cyberbullying and hate messages on the internet to entertaining panels about trash TV. Personalities from the media industry shared their experiences and perspectives, which brought the discussion to life. Each discussion offered its own added value – whether it was in-depth knowledge about the diversity of the media world or a piece of entertainment.

EDUCATIONAL INSIGHTS

Prof. (FH) Dr. Peter Schneckenleitner, who is in charge of the course, also attended the event and was impressed: “At the Medientage, you can directly feel what is currently moving and occupying the media and communication industry. I have been attending this event with students for several years and I have to say that it has always been worthwhile.” The students' summary was also very positive. ‘A great atmosphere and a great opportunity to be there and make contacts. It's great that we get such an opportunity as part of our degree program,’ summarizes Simone Zabernig.

A successful excursion that gave students the chance to combine theory with practical experience.
